This forge should work excellent, however i never got a chance to use it. It doesn’t come with refractory cement to make it safe. You have to buy that yourself. I thought it was included and inquired with Vevor. They told me to cease use and dispose of the product, because it was unsafe. I did so, and then they said all I needed to do was purchase refractory. I wasn’t super impressed with this, but they did offer me a defund which was very helpful.

I purchased this because of the price and because of several YouTube reviews. Unfortunately, Vevor must have given up packing the Satanite or other cement with the forge after they offered the forges to the YouTube reviewers. I was, therefore, disappointed to find out that I would have to spend additional money and time upgrading the forge to make it safe to use. At the very least, they should document that it does not include the cement.

Ich habe die Gasesse Ende November bestellt. Aus gesundheitlichen Gründen konnte ich sie erst zwischen den Feiertagen einsetzen. Habe sie zwei mal in Gebrauch gehabt und schon fällt einiges negative auf: 1. Die Gasventile schließen nicht richtig. Es strömt im geschlossen Zustand Gas aus und entzündet sich was mehr als gefährlich enden kann. 2. Die Schlauchverbindungen lösen sich aus ihren Verpressungen weil die mehr wie mangelhaft verpresst sind! So etwas habe ich mit meiner Devil Forge noch nicht erlebt! Für mich endtäuschend und mangelhaft! Einfach nur billgzeug aus China. Und wen ich mit fast 20 Jahren Berufserfahrung mit dem Ding Probleme habe möchte ich nicht wissen wie manch ein Hobbyschmied damit Probleme hat! Für den professionellen Einsatz absolut untauglich! Das sind Dinge die einfach nicht passieren dürfen!

The forge works great! Unfortunately, the forge has exposed fibers that aren't enclosed in retractive cement. I was unaware of this and fired it for the first time without treating the exposed fibers. I was informed this is extremely dangerous to my respiratory health, and have since ordered the proper cement to ensure safe usage. It would have been nice to have noticed about the dangers of this product before using.

The powdercoat burnoff is awful, continues to smoke and smell for a long time. Forge should come with rigidizer for ceramic fiber or at least instructions to use something to coat the fiber blanket for safety's sake.

I just used it for the second time last night and has a bad leak around the regulator that calls the pretty nasty burn to my hand because of this I'm going to try to file a repair or whatever I can to fix this issue but other than that great unit

Do not get. I have had so many problems. The hoses are horrible. The brass connector cracked and fell apart. This is a safety hazard.

Within 10 minutes of using it it already started melting the valve I would never buy this again

The forge itself is nicely made, however the bad rating comes from the lack of consistency and packaging this forge with the proper safety materials. And reviews I’ve seen of this item. It always comes. Package was refractory cement, however in purchasing mine, it did not the closest thing I could find in my area was a cement rated for high temperature ovens and I ended up paying $40 for this item if you want to take safety further you can also a rigidizer concentrate that will add to keeping the insulating wool covered and keep you from potentially breathing in the fibers that may cause harm. If you take it into consideration, these extra purchases on the side you end up paying the same money you can buy a forge a better quality that comes with all these features. Also, I ended up ruining my forge with the thermal cement that I had to purchase to cover my wool insulation. Don’t go the cheep route and in the pain more just buy a better quality forged that includes these safety items that you end up having to purchase on the side anyways and your forge becomes a purchase of $200 or more. I did reach out to Vevor about the missing refractory cement, which does come included sometimes and sometimes it gets left out. It’s been months and the only email I ever got from them was we’re sorry. Bad purchase stay clear.
