Houses where we live are pretty close to each and our backyard also backs onto each other leaving little privacy while sitting on the deck. This screen solves that problem ands was easy to install. What's great about it is that when not in use, it retracts back into the pole so as to not obstruct your view of the yard. Love it.

We needed a retractable privacy screen on our deck and this unit fit the bill, and the price was right. It was fairly easy to install and seems to be made out of solid materials. The desk flexes a bit bit so the two side poles don't stay completely vertical under load making it more difficult to connect the awning to the poles correctly. I expect that someone installing the unit on a harder surface such as stone tiles or concrete, wouldn't have this issue. I mitigated this effect by drilling a hole part way up each side pole, anchoring one to the deck railing and the other one to the house. We have only had it for a few months so can't comment on reliability yet. I imagine we will have to put it away in the shed in the Fall since we get cold winters with snow and some occasional freezing rain. I have reached out the Vevor support on this last point but have not gotten an answer yet.

We love it! Give us much needed privacy from our camper Neighbors. I gave it a 3 star review; one part of the Awning can ripped, no problem, the ripped is at the bottom of the awning, a little noticeable.

Mine came smack in on one side and it doesn't stay out where u want it to be and it has so many wrinkles in it wont stay tight and we have to make a bracket to make it stay straight and tight plus it doesn't even cover my whole side of porch still have a 2ft gap

The plastic piece the spring attaches to was broke. Upon first use it seemed to open with no resistance and then wouldn’t retract. After pulling the tube out of the cassette the plastic piece had broken just above where the spring attaches so I have an awning I can’t close.

Instructions were so bad...I can't imagine buying anything like this again. Warning! Instructions are unbelievable and hard to follow.

2nd shipment was recieved damaged

Item seems to be overall hood quality however was already damaged when I opened the box in my living room.
