I bought this grinder for my son and daughter in law. They tell me it works amazingly well. I picked this unit over the others as for the motor size and the method of disassembly for cleaning. The other unit did not have the ability to remove the main grinder body from the motor for cleaning. I feel it is imperative to be able to clean the unit easily and thoroughly. The grinder plates etc appear to be a standard size so stuffer tubes and replacement knives or plates should be easily obtainable. Do not put aluminum parts in the dishwasher as the dishwasher soap will turn them grey.

This meat grinder exceeded my expectations. Ground a whole beef in record time. No hesitations. Used finer blade, double ground half for a family member and triple ground half for myself. Only draw back is the throat does not just come off the machine you would have to unbolt it. I just washed, scrubbed and rinsed with it still attached and had no issues aside from it is very heavy. Ran smoothly no bogging down at all. Very happy with this unit. I would purchase again.

This grinder is insanely overpowered for my use, and I love it. The butchering and trimming takes an hour or more for the meat I grind every few months. The grinding is so fast I spend more time cleaning the parts. With many pounds of meat there's only a moderate amount of fat and silver skin that wraps the blade where it meets the shaft, not enough to affect the grinding. I clean and dry it, and store it in the original packaging in my garage. I use it about 4-6 times a year with a total run time of maybe 30 minutes, so it should last me my entire life and maybe my son's as well. Very happy.
