Although the ad called it a 'pipe ' belt sander/polisher, I envisioned it as a knife grinder. I had used similar tools in the 70's and 80's while working as a plumber and knew this device could be adapted to become a knife grinder. I ground my first knife blank into a product I am proud to show off. The sanding belts that came with it seem to be of good quality. I have used the roughest and the finest one and both have retained their grit.

I've always found tools I've purchased from Verver to be of good quality and this tool is not different. I coupled it to my 4.5-inch Makita brushless, cordless angle grinder in order to sand the rust off of some 3.5-inch drill pipe I bought to build a stanchion for over 12 kW of solar panels. This is doing a great job of removing the rust so I can have them powder coated after I get through welding them for assembly. If you are in need of a way to sand pipes, look no further for this is just what you need at a good price

Made my life a lot easier on one particular job. Slicking down a repaired stainless steel bow rail on Grady White.. used to use an older model that did not have the flexibility. This one does, and the older model 20 years ago cost almost $1100.
