Ninguna de las dos. Son actuadores lineales electromecánicos que utilizan un husillo interno (husillo roscado). Se accionan mediante un motor eléctrico de 24 V CC que extiende y retrae los brazos; no intervienen fluidos hidráulicos ni engranajes helicoidales.

Se recomienda utilizar esta máquina, la puerta debe poder abrirse horizontalmente, no verticalmente, y la puerta misma debe poder abrirse y cerrarse manualmente sin problemas. Esta máquina se utiliza en puertas batientes dobles y los dos brazos no se pueden conectar a la misma puerta.
